Produced in collaboration with Benno de Goeij (Rank-1/Armin van Buuren), we proudly present the Massive Essential Collection Volume 1.

Containing 880+ fresh, fully club orientated Massive presets, this sound set provides you with all the tools 'really' needed to produce your next dance floor ready hit. We have covered everything from big room driving basses, euphoric progressive plucks, main room super saws, hard edged square leads and lots of tight, inspirational arpeggiated sequences to get your creative juices flowing. It goes without saying, but we guarantee this sound set will become the foundation of every studio session.

As many of you know who follow our Facebook and Twitter pages, this sound set has been a labour of love for well two years now and took allot of hard work, passion and dedication to get right. We have spent many hours tweaking macros, reshaping sounds and generally sculpting the first truly definitive Native Instruments Massive sound set.

Unlike other sound sets currently on the market, we have put a very strong focus on making sure each and every preset has 8 ‘intelligent’ macro knobs assigned for maximum creative possibilities (giving you literally thousands of possible sound combinations, not to mention layering possibilities with other presets).

The primary goal of this sound set was to deliver true value through the macros and make sure every preset has endless shaping possibilities. We don’t adhere to a standardized macro mapping schema, but rather program macros based on the sonic characteristics of each individual sound. Because Massive has such a flexible macro engine, we have been able to create sonic shaping macros commonly not possible in other synthesizers such as Sylenth1.

A secondary project goal was to produce a large collection of ‘template’ presets which would be go to sounds for years to come - this includes super saw leads, saw pads, saw basses, progressive plucks and alike. We believe we have crafted the ultimate collection of studio friendly ‘bread and butter’ sounds that will fit perfectly into your mixes with minimal effort. Lots of silky smooth pads, big room super saw synths, euphoric plucks and fat basses to get your productions off the ground.

This product has been produced in tight collaboration with Benno de Goeij who produces and engineers with Armin van Buuren. During the development life cycle, allot of the sounds were being tried and tested in both Benno’s and Armin’s own productions (both originals and remixes), including on Armin’s 5th artist album 'Intense'. We wanted to capture elements of both Benno’s Rank-1 project work and additional engineering work with Armin himself. This is the first time in history you can actually get your hands on sounds being used right now by Armin van Buuren in the studio directly.

Alongside Benno's own sound design work, many other sound designers including Joe Garrett (Temple One), Serhiy Klimenkov, Dumitru Golban, Slavik Bortko and even a few customers submissions have made it into the sound set. All featuring our full 8 macro assignment treatment.

Product Compatibility

This product requires Native Instruments Massive version 1.3.1 or upwards to function correctly. There is no guarantee that they will work with older versions. This version is currently stable and available for Microsoft Windows XP/7/8 and Apple OS X Mountain Lion in both 32 and 64 bit variants.

Product Explanation

This product contains synthesizer presets and associated MIDI files for educational purposes. Presets do not contain sampled audio (melodic or otherwise) but rather ‘data’ (synthesizer programs) that can be loaded using the popular Native Instruments Massive software synthesizer. A collection of presets are collectively referred to as a bank.
